Pedagogical Objectives

The course offers a creative and innovative global approach combining all aspects of visual creation, from graphic design to art direction, including interactive design and visual communication. The main idea of this master’s degree is to learn about the creative process, to be able to think about creation as a whole.

The program focuses on developing creativity and reflection on the creative process, enabling students to explore innovative ideas and design original visual projects.

The Master in Art Direction incorporates the latest technologies and market trends, enabling students to familiarise themselves with the most up-to-date tools and working methods.

On completion of this program, you will be certified to the level 7 professional certification “Manager – expert en e-business et technologies numériques” (Manager – expert in e-business and digital technologies) registered on the RNCP by order of May 29, 2020, under the authority and delivered by EFREI. The certification offers 6 blocks of skills that can be validated separately.

● Graphic Design: Students learn the basics of graphic design, visual composition, typography, and develop skills in image design and creation.

● Art Direction: The course focuses on developing art direction skills, including project management, coordinating creative teams, and making aesthetic decisions.

● Interactive Design: Students explore the principles of interactive design, learning to design attractive and ergonomic user interfaces for web and mobile applications.

● Visual Communication: students are trained to communicate effectively through visuals, creating coherent and impactful communication materials.

● Photography and branding: Some programmes also include teaching on photography and branding, to reinforce visual communication skills.

Admission to the Master’s Degree is based on the following conditions:

  • Year 1: Bachelor’s degree +3 in web design, multimedia, or visual communication
  • Year 2: Bachelor’s degree +4 in web design, multimedia, or visual communication

Admissions to EEMI are subject to successful completion of an oral motivation interview, tests and evaluation of the academic record.
