Workshop : 21 days to create a website

17 February 2025

Creating a website from A to Z in three weeks – that’s the crazy challenge that our 3rd year Bachelor Design students have taken up with flying colours!

An immersive challenge to learn in a real-life situation

The idea? Put yourself in the shoes of a real web agency and deliver a complete project in record time. On the programme:
  • Brainstorming and strategy: understanding a customer’s needs and defining a clear vision
  • Visual creation: creating a strong visual identity, structuring an impactful and coherent design
  • Development & SEO: delivering a fast, fluid site that’s optimised for Google

All this, while discovering the sector’s essential tools!

Key tools for a successful project

  • Project management: planning, deadline monitoring and team collaboration, just like in an agency
  • Figma with variables and design system: structuring interfaces to ensure project consistency and scalability
  • Webflow and its styleguide: dynamic development, advanced animations and SEO optimisation right from the design stage

Three web projects, three unique worlds

Divided into three groups, the students developed projects with very distinct styles and objectives:

1. A showcase site on Greek mythology > Integration of a blog and an interactive quiz to captivate enthusiasts.
2. An educational site for an NGO > Setting up personalised courses to train and raise awareness on the ground in Africa.
3. A site dedicated to classic cars, specialising in Porsche > Creation of detailed, SEO-optimised files for car fans.

All the sites have been designed to be viable in the long term. Each site has the potential to unite a community, generate organic traffic and even be monetised.

Accelerated skills development

Thanks to Tiphaine Durand, who guided our students through the world of Webflow, a tool that was previously unknown to them. Three weeks later? They were able to create functional websites integrating CMS, animations and optimised SEO tags. And of course, well done to Amaury de Luca for orchestrating this intense workshop.

This challenge gave our students the opportunity to experience the realities of web design and development, while consolidating their technical and strategic skills.

In a nutshell? A lot of stress, a lot of ideas, a lot of short nights… but above all, a highly formative experience that prepares them for the professional world!
